Sun Devil Source: Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.) 2023 quarterback Carson Conklin quickly attained one of his early goals at the high school level, earning a spot on the Lancers’ varsity roster and receiving playing time last season as a freshman. But he wasn’t fulfilled by it.
Conklin, who is yet to be rated by 247Sports, felt that some of his teammates didn’t view him as a leader, which he wanted to change ahead of his sophomore season. On Saturday, he took a step toward improving that narrative by hosting his offensive line for a barbecue, which generated positive feedback.
