Sun Devil Source: Arizona State senior center Cade Cote said it was an “amazing” feeling to win his appeal for a sixth year of eligibility to the NCAA in March, a product of a shoulder injury in 2016 that required surgery and forced him to miss spring football the following year. However, it has also served as a punchline in his position room.
Now the oldest player on ASU’s roster, Cote chuckled during Tuesday’s ‘Zoom’ call with reporters as he relayed the names he has been called by fellow offensive linemen, such as “grumpy old man” and “Captain Cade Cote” by Sun Devil sophomore lineman Dohnovan West.
