ASU’s Hurley not ‘100 percent certain’ on roster status for UCLA game

Sun Devil Source: In the moments after Arizona State suffered a devastating 76-63 loss to the University of Texas at El Paso on Dec. 16, its head coach Bobby Hurley told media members that his players needed to learn from the experience, find the motivation to be much better than they were that night and move on from the loss.

Nearly a month later, though, the Sun Devils haven’t had a chance to cleanse their pallets. While privacy laws prevented him from more explicitly saying it, Hurley indicated on Dec. 30 that two members of his coaching staff, associate head coach Rashon Burno and director of scouting and player development Brandon Rosenthal, as well as junior forward Taeshon Cherry were not with the team due to COVID-19-related protocols.
