College hoops start in disarray after ESPN bails on bubble tournaments

Outkick.com: We’re a month away from the start of college basketball season, but the plans for how that will happen are in disarray after ESPN pulled out of the 10 tournaments they were set to organize in a bubble in Orlando after they could not reach an agreement with all the schools about pandemic protocols.


 

 


 

The news was first hinted at in a Twitter thread by CBS Sports writer Matt Norlander; Seth Davis of The Athletic reports that the news is official, and ESPN Events VP Clint Overby told Davis the following:
