Dawgman: The number of Washington Huskies in Tampa Bay is going from three to two. That’s based on a tweet from Greg Auman, who reports on the Buccaneers for The Athletic. Auman reported early Friday morning that former UW defensive lineman Benning Potoa’e will be waived by the Buccaneers as NFL teams are cutting down their rosters to the NFL maximum of 53.
It also moves the number of former Washington players down from 40 to 39. They still lead Pac-12 teams when it comes to active players on NFL rosters.
