By Barry Bolton, CougFan: At the press conference on Friday announcing Washington State’s 10-year, $11 million naming rights deal – Gesa Field at Martin Stadium – WSU President Kirk Schulz said in a call with reporters there could be additional sponsorship deals down the road with Gesa Credit Union.
The partnership announced Friday could be worth more than $11 million total to Washington State’s athletic department, depending on Gesa’s consumer-based incentives. CF.C asked about WSU’s projection as part of its due diligence, i.e. how much the deal could potentially be worth. But there are a lot of moving parts involved, said athletic director Pat Chun.
