Governor Newsom says California guidelines don’t prevent Pac-12 playing

247Sports: While the Big Ten celebrates the return to college football — an announcement that came on Wednesday morning — the Pac-12 is sitting and waiting, hoping that it can also play soon. But a statement from Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott seemed to shoot that down.

While Scott’s comments were discouraging, it looks like they also might not be entirely accurate. According to California Governor Gavin Newsom, the Pac-12 is not prevented from playing games based on California state guidelines.
