Wildcat Authority: When the Pac-12 made the decision to postpone the fall football season, it did so after looking at what it believes was every option.
One of those options including only postponing it for a month before attempting to start the season.
“We had eight game scenarios starting mid and late October,” Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott said. “Those are available to us, but as we looked at where our counties are and projections and trends, we came to the conclusion reluctantly that there is no indication things are likely to change in terms of the criteria that influenced this in the next few weeks. We had to balance that out with the kind of clarity and certainty that our coaches and student athletes want.”
