By Sam Marsdale, 247Sports: In light of Cincinnati firing head men’s basketball coach John Brannen Friday afternoon, a handful of names have been mentioned in connection with the search. There may be one that stands out from the rest, however.
Matt Norlander of CBS Sports says he thinks UCLA assistant Darren Savino should get a long look for the job and that the base would support the hire. He also mentioned former Indiana and Dayton coach Archie Miller being a big name attached to this opening, but says he’s unsure if Miller would be open to talking into this situation.
