Social Distance: Oregon a big winner from Pac-12 schedule change

Just weeks before the previously scheduled start of the 2020 college football season, most teams’ slates have been drastically altered. All of the Power Five conferences except for the Big 12 have announced major changes to their schedule models, as most nonconference games have been cut due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.

Certainly fans will miss out on a lot of juicy games between teams that don’t often play. But some programs are sure to benefit as difficult games get removed from their schedule and replaced by more reasonable ones.
