By R.J. Abeytia, USCFootball: USC tight ends coach Seth Doege stepped up at the last minute to swap interview slots with running backs coach Mike Jinks Tuesday morning, and Doege came prepared with some very interesting responses to the notion that USC’s offense has been lagging behind the defense in terms of head-to-head competition and overall progress. Doege is in his first season coaching the Trojan tight ends after being promoted from his previous post as an offensive quality control analyst for USC in 2019 and 2020. Doege’s first response in terms of the offensive performance overall came after a question about how that side of the ball has fared in red zone situations thus far this spring.
