By Steve Bartle, UteZone: Utah basketball’s Lahat Thioune has withdrawn his name from the transfer portal according to sources with direct access to the transfer portal. Thioune will return to the program, a little over a week since the hiring of new head coach Craig Smith.
With Thioune back in the fold, Smith has now welcomed back two players that previously entered the transfer portal as Riley Battin also withdrew his name from the portal last week. Those are valuable pieces in that they have playing experience and both provide Utah with some much needed frontcourt depth.
