By Zackary Armstrong, CougFan: Senior defensive tackleĀ Amir MujahidĀ has taken a windy football road from junior college to Washington State. Mujahid (6-3, 280) said during his recruitment from Laney College near his hometown of Berkeley, playing on scholarship at WSU, or any FBS program, did not seem a likely proposition.
āTo be honest with you, coming from Laney I didnāt have many offers or anything,ā Mujahid said. āThe biggest offer I had received was Northern Arizona. I went on a visit and everything and they said I was too little, so it was back to square one. This was 2019 in December, and then in 2020 during that whole situation, I was just grinding in the weight room every day
